"Captain Corona" or "Captain Covid" was created to get the people reacting. This came to me when I was in the middle of working on a different piece. Many people that I have met over the course of the past two years have fought the mandates and safety provisions of wearing mask. In my opinion, that is a great way to throw the towel in on you and your families lives.
As an artist, I feel as though we are highly misunderstood by others. Striving to be entrepreneur is one this... but consistently being one is a whole-nother ball game. Captain Corona concept was created because of not only the wild growth and en-acknowledge of Covid- 19... but the sheer growth of ignorance, racism and lack for safety to keep ones self and others safe rather that considered them participating in sheep behavior or "being a pussy" has been wild to me. So I decided to have show case Captain being disgusted not only with the lack of understanding but the digust of people actually wanting to spread the virus that they so called blamed our asian allies for (China). Rewatching the show as of recently has been off the charts! Many of the discrepancies he and the planeteers had described had not changed at all! No matter how much you may have thought you recycled in the past.
