Frank use to be a normal duck but through our trusting connection that we built over the years he became more of the community feathered leader. Many years ago I was blessed enough to have shared many years with a loyal, big hearted Boston Terrier
named Sasha, (so of you may know). May peoples ignorance comes from such a deep place they cant fathom of having such bond with animals. But there is something about being able to communicate with animals, reptiles, and any other being other than humans that just gives me light! We were able to spend an amazing 7 years with Sasha and it taught me a lot. Through out that last three years Frank and Sasha would just stand next to each other while I feed frank some bread or some grapes. It was like we were all friends just existing in nature together. With no worry in the world. Every morning or ever other morning right when me Christina would wake to take her out to pee...you'd heard a helicopter wind sound and Frank was on top of the fence! Literally he would be up on our fence demanding to be feed. Asking hey man where are the goods? lol. When Sasha was seven years old she passed away abruptly. This rocked me to the core. But It it took me along time to get over losing such an amazing guide. After her loss Frank would still continue to grace us with his beautiful stature and flappy feet.
Sometime goes by and he basically goes missing for about 4 months, leading me to worry. Many people act foolish and run ducks over like their ants. Frank shows up looking good full of feathers, looked full - like he'd had a good meal or two. Fast forward months go by and we see Frank sitting in the grass and not moving when he was approached! But he seemed hurt, or disarrayed. My mum ends up helping me looking online for animal type bird catcher that helps them get back on there feet. So my mom calls and the person comes to my house, placing him in a cage to check him out at there facility. Within the next day they brought Frank back and they were completely free. They were a great organization of individuals who dedicated there time to helping.
I believe me along with other people of the community started to feed him bread. Growing up as a kid we taught that you feed ducks bread. But research shows that it is horrible for their bodies. If you want to see other foods Frank could eat check out PetKeen.com
Frank been in our lives for such more than 8 years now. It's been really cool to have such a connection with a friend that can take flight at any moment, but spends his moments grounded/vibing with me instead. That's the connection. Thank you 👐🏾
