As you guys know every week or every other week, I keep you up to date on all of the reading I've been doing. I want to know do you guys actually benefit from these? Shoot me message. Very curious.
Globalizing Justice #1
Last week, was a crazy week folks. With the amount of shootings and dealing with the negligence of police officers I decided to refresh my wreads list from last week. I was able to complete four books from last weeks list.Unfortunately it has been very hard to stay focused and continue learning. I decided to head back to my local library to refresh my brain with some new perspectives. First up is "Globalizing Justice" by Richard W. Miller. This book amazed the living shit out of me because many people, imo choose to ignore such topics. Just so I'm not giving away anything in the book, I want to say that justice needs to globalized- until then... everyone is not free.
The Ultimate Happiness Prescription #2
One of the most inspirational reads has been "The Ultimate Happiness Prescription" by Deepak Chopra. This prescription isn't like your normal daily dosage of pills or liquid medications, it is the meaning of finding true happiness. Dropping all of the outside material sources/chatter and recognizing that true happiness comes from within. If you are looking for a way to begin your spiritual journey, I highly recommend you take Deepak Chopra in as your spiritual mentor. It will change your mindset entirely.
No One is Too Small to Make A Difference #3
This next one shook me to the core! This book made me realize that our voices are bigger than we believe they are no matter the age, race, nationality, background, or gender. It's also made me come to understand that I need to be more expressive. The amazing Climate change activist Greta Thunberg released an amazing piece of work known as "No One is Too Small to Make A Difference" which was New Times #1 Bestseller in 2019. Not only does she make you realize that we should be taking action NOW. She even calls out the so called leaders of the world that continue to push the fairytale narrative that has placed us in such a negative disposition. Greta's enthusiasm and story appoints that WE are all the change that is needed. The world is waking up and change is coming.
Secrets of Yoga #4
Looking to connect your mind, body, and spirit? I suggest diving head first into "Secrets of Yoga" by Jennie Bittleston & Gillian Emerson. This a great guide for anyone looking to feel one with their mind & body. Equipped with tips and tricks for yogis of any stage in life looking to gain control of their lives. So whether you've never done yoga before or your a pro, the practices will definitely get you where you need to be.
Japanese Soul Cooking #5
Last but not least is succulent "Japanese Soul Cooking" by Tadashi Ono & Harris Salat. My love for food outweighs my hunger! Tadashi is a very well know Japanese chef that has married traditional/street japanese cuisine with that of the western culture. Based in NYC he found himself teaming up with Harris's skillful yet talented way of writing about asian cuisine! They both are a force to recon with in and out of the kitchen! This creation once I saw it on the shelf was a must have! My current plans with consist of re-creating the at least one of the many brilliant recipes in this read. My goal is to become so great at making ramen from scratch, that I myself become somewhat of a master. If you have any interest in great Asian eats! This is a must have!
Thats all folks, thanks for sticking around til the end!
For all that it's worth I want to thank you for getting this far in my wreads list.
If you look forward to my list, please join our community where we learn about each other.
